Day 582 (07/28/08) Thanks Pearl Jam!

Day 582 (07/28/08)

I feel like ass today--real tired, & I think I'm getting sick, so I will probably make this a short one....I do have 2 videos to share with ya, so be sure to watch em!

Over the weekend, The Foul Balls played in Enumclaw & had a great time...after the game we went to the Yella Beak for some post game drinks. Fortunately I had my new Flip Mino camcorder in my pocket for this interesting moment involving The Mens Room's The Ted Smith!

This morning was a blast...mainly because we got to show appreciation to a man that serves our country in the U.S. Army & just got back from 14 months in Kuwait--Captain Jason Pardee.  Jason came in this morning along with his wife Jennifer & his brother in law Rick.  All three of them were so cool--it was fun having them in studio.  The reason we had them in was that Jennifer & Rick wanted to get Jason a Mike McCready of Pearl Jam autograph.  Jason is a huge fan of Pearl Jam, he has the P.J. stick man design on his arm & has traveled the country to see them play on several occasions.  Rick sent me an email several months ago asking for my help...they tried every angle possible to get one & had no luck.  Luckily we live in the same back yard as the P.J. camp, so we reached out to their manager--Kelly Curtis, and their P.R. team, Vandenberg communications, and they sent me something better...an autographed tour poster from the entire band!!!!!!  Check it out:

I have been holding on to this poster for months until Jason came back...and this morning we surprised him with it.  It was an emotional moment.  Having a bro that has spent time in Afghanistan & Iraq, I will always have love & support for any man or woman that is willing to risk their life for our country.  Say what you will about why we are their, the decisions made by our government, but when it's all said & done...these men & women deserve all the support & positive thoughts in the world.  True heroes, and I am glad we were able to thank, and put a smile on the face of Captain Pardee.

Big thanks to the beatiful gals in the Heavenly Spies (burlesque troupe) for coming in.   They returned to our program to chat about their new show: "80's Confidential." The show opens this Friday at the Can Can (bar in the Pike Place Market)& runs every Friday in August & September. For more info, go to
